METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Take alkaline powders of above 1 to 5 Nos. ingredients which it Sanskrit called “KSHAARAMULU”.(ALKALIES)
2. There are two types of KSHAARAMULU = ALKALINE EXTRACTS each 080 gms.
3. They are prepared as under :

Take barks of item 1,2 = 240 gms each allow it to  dry undersun.
Take “Zemudu” – Telugu English name not found = 240 Gms and allow it to dryNo.3.
Take items 4,5 branches = 240 gms each and allow it to dry with leaves and flowers.

1. Dry all of above 05 items after making them into fine pieces.
2. Then mix all of them and burn them with fire.  Do not use any chemical – Their Ashesh collect carefully.
3. Then put those ashes in a clean from vessel add 4 items the volume of above ashes pure water.
4. Allow it to get soaked for 24 hrs in a clean cool places.  Close with cover not to allow contamination such as dust, insects.
5. After 24 hrs collect the water above the ashes by filtering through a clean cotton cloth in to a stainless steel wide mouthed vessel with lid and longest spoon to mix up.
6. Boil it slowly stirring at frequent intervals use steam for boiling.
7. Boil till white powder remains at the bottom of stainless steel vessel.  This white powder is called as “kshaaram” = (Alkaline powder)
8. Take 080 gms of such powder of each of No.s 1 to 5 ingredients.
9. Add 010 gms of “calx of conch” also add 10 gms each of ingredients           No. 13, 14, 15 (fine powders only).
10. Add 020 gms of cloves to above powder.
11. Then grind all of them together to make a fine powder.
12. Take limejuice pure only such a volume Just sufficient to immerse above powder in para 14th Stage of preparation.
13. Allow the lime juice to evaporate in cool conditions.
14. Repeat this immersion in lime juice process 07 times.
15. Now Shankha Vatikamulu medicine is ready for use preserve in glass bottle.

DOSAGE & DURATION

1. Give daily orally up to 0120 mg of powder in 03 divide doses for treatment of “CHOLERA” till it subsides.
2. Proportionately reduce dose for children.
3. Give supportive oral liquids  like butter milk, barley, water etc.
4. Take all such precaution that no dehydration occurs. “Text Books says it is the best remedy”

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Take equal parts of all the above ingredients.
2. Grind them together in a grinder so as to make a uniform powder add fresh cow
3. Urine and make the product as fine paste by wet grinding
4. Make 0120 mg weight pills and allow them to dry absolutely and preserve in glass jars.

DOSAGE AND DURATIONS :

1. Give 0120 mg with GINGER JUICE to controls indigestion
2. Give 0240 mg with GINGER JUICE to control cholera
3. Give 0360 mg with GINGER JUICE  for SNAKE POISONING
4. Give 480 mg with GINGER JUICE for VIRAL FEVERS and typhoid fevers.

Until remission of disease.  Give it in divided doses with supporting treatment.

DETOXIFICATION OF SEEDS OF SEMICARPUS ANACARDIUM

DETOXIFICATIONF OF FRESH MARKING NUTS

1. Collect good quality of black marking nuts and make them in to pieces by wearing gloves and plastic gown and PROTECTIVE COVER TO FACE SUCH AS HELMET so that allergic and highly irritant properties are avoided.
2. Take an earthen pot new with 02 holes just below the level of neck.  Fill  the pot with water.
3. Add cow dung to fill only ½ of the entire/pot.
4. Tie pieces of black marking nuts in a fresh. Cotton cloth or they can be put in appropriate cotton bag with tying its entry point opening.
5. Tie this bag above the level of cow dung.
6. Hang this bag to the rod passed between the holes at the level of neck.
7. Start boiling shortly taking CAUTION that no COW DUNG enters the Bag by contamination.
8. That is only steam should be allowed to cook the contents of bag.
9. Do this for 04 hrs. cool it work the pieces of nuts with clean water; then with coconut water.
10. Allow the nuts to get dried up to Totally under the sun.  collect it in a earthen pot for future use.
11. This method is taken from page 551 of 10th edition of Ayurvedic Book “VYDYAYOGA RATNAVALI” published by the Indian medical practitioners cooperative pharmacy and stores Ltd. Chennai -41 (Tamil Nadu state), India.
12. This process of detoxification allows the seeds possible side effects which could affect adversely when marking nuts are consumed as it is.

FORMULA No. (03) FOR “CHOLERA” FROM ANCIENT AYURVEDIC TEXT BOOK PAGE 559, 560 CALLED “BASAVA RAJEEYAM” FOR
T RANS-NASAL ADMINISTRATION OF ANTICHOLERA HERBAL REMEDY – THIS MODE OF TREATMENT UNKNOWN IN ALLOPATHY FOR CHOLERA.
NAME OF REMEDY NOT GIVEN IN ABOVE BOOK :
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

1. ROCK SALT (798) TO BE DETOXIFIED.
2. JUICE FROM LAVES OF ECLIPTA PROSTATA(221)

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

Mix with water small quantity of ROCKSALT and mix it with juice made from LEAVES FRESH GREEN OF ECLIPTA PROSTRATA and kept it in glass bottle.
MODE OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE / DURATION OF TREATMENT

          In still few drops in to nose openings (NOSTRILS) of the patient who has been given miLD EMETIC earlier, and allow the patient to breath slowly (by closing month) by NOSE MEDICINE GETS ABSORBED VIA NASAL MUCOSAE.  This will control cholera.  Use it as per the condition of the patient, as ingredients are ATOXIC, the nasal drops can be administered up to 6 times a day.

FORMULA No. (4) FOR TRANSNASAL USE FOR TRMARINDUS OF CHOLERA
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

1. FRESH JUICE OHTAINED FROM LEAVES OF TAMARINDUS INDICA (E.TAMARIND TREE)

5. ROCK SALT (798) TO BE DETOXIFIED

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

1. Take fresh juice made from leaves of Tamarind Tree.
2. Add to this juice powders of other above ingredients in a stainless steel vessel.
3. Filter the above juice in to another S.S. vessel  by a fresh cotton cloth.
4. Preserve this mixture in a clean glass bottle.
5. Allow it to remain in a cool dry place.

Dosage, duration and mode of Administration :

Instill few drops of above medicine in to nose and ask the patient to inhale per nose, 1,2,3 drops 6 times a day till the choleraiscured.

FORMULA No. (5) FOR THE TREATMENT OF CHOLERA FOR ORAL USE
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

Make fine powder of above 03 ingredients and allow the patient to takeorally a spoonful each time with lukewarm clean water orally 3 to 4 times daily to treat “cholera”.

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

Make a fine paste of ingredients No.s 1to 5 with juice of item No. (vi) and apply to eyes as an ointment under supervision of physician as directed for treating cholera.

ALLOPATHIC BACK GROUND “ON CHOLERA”

1. The cholera is due to BACTERIAL INFECTION = caused by the ‘VIBRIO CHOLERA’ GRAM – VEROD, actively MOTILE and has got polar flagellum. They are non-sporogenous and non-encapsulated ROBERT KOCH DISCOVERED IT IN CHOLERA EPIDEMIC in egypt in the year 1883.  But they have been observed b y others like PACINI in 1854.

MY OWN ANALYSIS OF ABOVE METHODS IN ANCIENT TIMES IN THOSE TIMES REMEMBER NO IV FLUIDS; ANTIBIOTICS ORS PACKETS / BOTTLES WERE NOT THERE EVEN THEN TREATED

1. Probably emetics were given in INTIAL stages of cholera in ancient times to evacuate contaminated food or liquids existed initially BECAUSE ANCIENT PHYSICIANS VERY WELL KNEW CHOLERA CAN COME BY CONSUMING UGLY WATER, including bathing in UNCLEAN PONDS; TANKS ETC.
2. So finding fault with Ayurveda is not justified.
3. About administering TRANSNASAL, TRANS OCULAR ROUTES ANTI CHOLERA REMEDIES may be justified
4.  in those patients who are unconscious, in coma (Ryle’s tube feeding not there in those times)
5. Very young infants who may vomit due to bottle (bad) taste of Ayur Medicines.
6. About burning the skin in particular areas with a round metal usually iron in Ayurvda called “RAKSHA KARMA” = is, as we all agree is a very harsh method which greatly pains the patient NOT ADVISED AT PRESENT.
7. BUT THAT CONTROL MAY BE THE last resort when no medicine is available, patient in deep cama; etc.

HOW “RAKSHA KARAMA” WORKS ? is a highly interesting point which NEEDS IMMEDIATE RESEARCH.

1. Once The Application  of ‘burning Heat’ application cures adisease established by modern research WE CAN INSTEAD OF BURNING apply LASER HEAT OR SOME OTHER SOURCE OF HEAT JUST FALLING SHORT OF ACTUAL BURNS.

AT PAGE 1135 – ‘BASAVA RAJEEYAM’ AN ANCIENT AYURVEDIC BOOK.

1. Make in to pieces conch shells.  Tie them in a cotton bag.
2. Collect cow’s urine in an earthen “pot” having 02 holes at the level of neck.  Insert iron rod in the holes across the neck.
3. Add to above urine equal quantities of lime fruit juice, fermented rice cunjee and juice of tender pumpkins.
4. Put the conch shell pieces containing bag in hanging position by tying it to iron rod put across the neck.  Well above the combination of all four liquids mixed together.
5. By steam device heat the liquid until its boils for some time
6. (exact time not mentioned in original book it self)

GENERAL PRINCIPLE OF DETOXIFICATION WHEN NO METHOD IS SPECIFICALLY WRITTEN ADOPT
FOLLOWING METHOD (at page 1142 of Basavarajeeyam, an ancient Ayurvedic Book)

1. Take cow’s urine immerse the ingredients in it for 7 days each day change fresh urine.
