Q.  WHAT IS SHILAAJITU? “GOMOOTHRASHILAAJITU” (658)
A.  It is Gummy substance oozes from stones in summer months in certain mountains or hills.     An ancient Ayurvedic book “VASTUGUN A DEEPIKA’ at page 658 says the best source of ‘SHILAAJITU’ is ‘PERSIA’ and ‘IRAN’ form other areas book says it is less potent.

It is different from “KARPOORA SHILAAJITU”. Only the original SHILAAJITU which passes the following properties alone should be used. Viz;               

1.   No smoke should come when put on coal fire. It rises like a cylinder
2.   When dipped in cold water it sinks with round uniform roots of tree.
3.   It smells like cow’s urine. This alone must be used.

1.   Take best quality tested ‘SHILAAJITU’ in a earthen pot. Add equal quantity of herbal collection of 23 materials called “SAALASAARAADI GANAMU “PAGE 332-333. METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Collect Equal Quantities of above materials – make them in to fine pieces add (08) volumes of water, boil, for decoction, till  1/8th volume remains coolto this add detoxified “GOMOOTHRA SHILAAJITHU” as already kept in reserve. Immerse in the above decoction. This should be done (immersion) must be not less than thirty days. Then the patient should be given               “PANCHA KARAMAMU ”  to purify his body.

METHOD OF USAGE
1.  Dose has to be decided before hand.
2.  It should be given early mornings along with “SAALA SAARAADI GANAMU” decoction only.
3.  ‘SHILAAJITHU’ has to be grinded with above decoction; and taken orally.
4.  After it got digested and absorbed patient should be given rice with goat meat in case of vegetarian’s rice with cow milk and butter milk
5.  Generally after taking dose it takes one “YAAMAMU” =(one “JAAMU”) for absorption or orally administered “SHILAAJITHU”.
6.  Non dietetics, dietetics compulsory.
7.  If predetermined dose is completed by way of above said method diabetes mellitus will be cured and patient lives for one hundred years.
8.  Original book at page 200 recommends one Tola (100 palamulu). this dose cannot be tolerated hence leave this dose.
9.  If ‘SHILAAJITHU’ is used for 10years patient lives for one thousand years.

FORMULA NO. (2): CURE OF DIABETES MELLITUS WITH “THUVARAKA YOGAMU” AT PAGE 201. OF SUSHRUTHA SAMHITA – CHI STAH.

1. “This plant seeds in English called CHAL MOGARA SEEDS AND OIL”
2. The plant’s botanical name is “GYNOCARDIA ODORATA, OR HYDROLARPUS WITHANIA  as per ancient Ayurvedic book “VASTU GUNA DEEPIKA” AT PAGE (427).
3. The oil from seeds of above plant is called “CHAL MOGARA OIL”(at page 427)

PROCESSING OF ABOVE OIL:

1. The above plants are grows well around seashore of western seas.
2. Ripe fruits of above plant are to be collected in rainy season.
3. Dry them under sun. Discard shells, collect inside pulp of fruits
4. Take large quantities of pulp in seeds and grind them in a mill.
5. Collect oil in earthen pot original book not specified nature of pot metal or earthen. Well covered stainless steel container may be safe to prevent breakage or contamination from micro pores in earthen wear.
6. Put this oil in stain less steel container water- proof, with secured lid and place this in heapof COW- DUNG FOR [PAKSHAMU ROJULU =TELUGU = FIFTEEN DAYS]
7. Clean the surface thoroughly so that no cow dung or other material exists.

METHOD OF USAGE:
Dose as per ‘VASTUGUNA DEEPIKA’ ancient Ayurvedic book is five drops to 60 drops daily three times mixed in cow milk.
It should be given to only those patient who got cleaned his body systems with “PANCHA KARMAS”  give gap of  [PAKSHAMU ROJULU = TELUGU = 15DAYS]
One day before administering above prepared oil to patient, he should take food with cow milk and in the nights takes only sour fruit juices. Along with luke – warm water.
Keep required oil dosage ready in a suitable cup etc. before using oil orally patient MUST CHANT THIS HOLY HYMN / SLOAKA AS UNDER MAJJA SAARA MAHAA VEERYA SARVAAN DHAATOON VISHODHAYA, SHANKA CHAKRA GADAAPAANISHTWAA MAAGYAAPAYATEHAY CHYUTHAHA”

This above “HYMN / SLOAKA” must be chanted before using above oil.
only in the evening patient is given thick butter milk, bit of salt in it and also take rice CUNJEE followed by rest.
From next day patient should be given rice with soup only of green grams (529) = PHASEOLUS MUNGO (530), The same menu has to be followed for [PAKSHAMU ROJULU = TELUGU = 15 DAYS]
The above procedure has to be repeated five times to cure diabetes mellitus following time intervals as said above.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
CHALMOGRA OIL PREPARED AS ABOVE
DECOCTION MADE UP OF BARK OF MIMOSA CATECHU (247)
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Take one part of Ingredient one to this add (3) volumes water. Cook til an oily preparation is ready. This should be taken orally dose as directed by physician. Duration one month.
The same oily preparation having taken orally, must be massaged externally also for curing mutilating severe leprosy. This will be cured earlier said HYMN / SLOAKA must be chanted before the use of medicine.
FORMULA NO. (4) TO PROLONG DISEASE FREE LIFE FOR TWO HUNDRED YEARS INGREDIENTS REQUIRED AT PAGE 204 SAME BOOK :

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

1. CHALMOGARA OIL PAEPARED AS ABOVE
2. COW’S GHEE (61)
3. HONEY (363)
4. DECOCTION MADE OF BARK OF PLANT MIMOSA CATECHU (247) 

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

Drink oil mixed with items nos. 2,3, later drink item No.4 use meat of birds.  It will give life for two hundred years. Chant HYMN/SLOAKA before use of medicine as said earlier.

FORMULA NO. (5) FOR 300 YEARS WISE, HEALTHY LIFE – FOR NASAL USE ONLY :

Use above prepared chalmogara oil intra nasally for fifty days this with improve memory and disease free life for three hundred years.

NOTE BEFORE USE

1. Procedure laid down must be used strictly in preparing chalmogara oil.
2. Dietetics must be followed  as described.
3. Dosage / Duration / where not clarified is left to decision of physician treating the patient.

FORMULA NO. (6) FOR CURING DIABETES MELLITUS “HEMAAKSHIKA SEVA VIDHAANAMU”

HEMAAKHIKAMU = IRON PYRITES (810)

1. DETOXIFICATION PROCEDURE AT PAGE 1126 OF BASAVA RAJEEYAMU – An Ancient Ayurvedic Book
2. Take required quantity iron pyrites and fry directly over coal fire cool.
3. Immerse in decoction made up of equal quantities of
   TERMINALIA CHEBULA
   TERMINALIA BELLERICA
   PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA FRUITS
4. Dry it under sun preserve in glass jars

DOSAGE :

Per day one to four “GURIGINTALAYETTU” means weight equal to one to four seeds of ARBUS PRECATORIUS (228) Milligram wise weights not “PROVIDED IN” “BASAVA RAJEEYAMU” an ancient Ayurveidc Book or in “VASTUGUNADEEPIKA” as they are ancient books.

DIETETICS :
Same as told under formula one “GOMOOTHRASHILAAJITHU” see above

NOTES ON USAGE OF IRON PIRITES :

1. The best source is around mines where river “TAAPI”, is flowing exact location not made available in original text.
2. Take detoxified iron pyrites and immerse for 30 days in decoction made of 23 ingredients of SALA SAARADIGANAMU same as written under formula one above.
3. Use just like “GOMOOTRA SHILAAJITU” dosage, Duration as said above.

DISCUSSION AS TO DURATION OF TREATMENT IN PERMANENT CURE FOR DIABETES MELLITUS:

1. In my opinion only SUSHRUTHA SAMHIJA described permanent cure for diabetes.  At page 200 (CHIKISHTA STHAANAM) that one thula (100 PALAMULU) of detoxified procedure wise treatment of “SHILAJITHU” I feel it as a very highest dose.  As said elsewhere in this portal.
2. Whereas Under “RASAYANA” treatment with “SILAAJITHU” in CHARAKA SAMHITHA – (CHI.STH) at page 55 it is said “SHILAAJITHU” should be used for “YEYDUSAPTHAA HAMULU” = 49 days minimum.
3. Hence duration of treatment is left to the physician to decide as ancient books telling are already described above.  But it cannot be lifelong.
4. None in this universe can suspect the greatest books on “AYURVEDAMU” such as above.
5. Permanent cure of diabetes is not is near reach in Allopathy.  So it’s treatment permanent cure must be taken as serious challenge to all of us.

The only alternative left is to use “RASAAYANAMULU” by “KUTEE RAVAASAMU” a better way of “RASAAYANAMULU” treatment. To cure diabetes mellitus.
